How many lessons will I need/Do you offer packages?
I can’t tell you how many lessons you’ll need or how long it will take to reach your goals. I strive for efficiency and one of my goals is to do as few lessons as possible. Some issues take more time and need more lessons. Sometimes one lesson is enough to get you and your four legged on the good foot.
I Don’t do packages. If you only need one lesson why pay for three? I will do as many or as few lessons as you want. If you’re reading this you’re old enough to know that the more you put into something the more you get out of it.

Do you offer free evaluations/consults?
Yes, via telephone. It all starts with a conversation. During our initial call I will have a lot of questions and I’m sure you will too. Often I can get you started in some changes that will affect you dog’s behavior and your quality of life in that first phone call. The sooner you call the sooner you’re on the path to a more harmonious relationship with your dog.

Do offer board and train?
Board and train is not something I do regularly. I don’t have a kennel or a facility. I live in a small house with another human and a menagerie of animals so it’s rare that the logistics make it possible, but it does happen sometimes.
-
What are your hours?
I work around your schedule. I realize that most people’s lives don’t revolve around training dogs so I do my best to adapt to your schedule. If you have a regular M-F, 9-5 job we’ll work around that. If you work the late shift we’ll work around that. If you’re retired, congratulations!
-
What forms of payment do you take?
Cash, check or Venmo.
-
What training methodology/techniques do you use?
The answer to most dog training questions is going to be “it depends.” I like to go “as positive as possible,” that is using rewards for teaching behaviors and redirecting attention. Sometimes corrections are necessary. Whether a correction is used and what that might be really depends on the dog, the behavior and the owner. No “cookie cutter training” here, all training programs are customized to you and your dog.

What problem behaviors do you help with?
General manners, aggression, predatory chasing, leash pulling , recall (coming when called), jumping, fear, anxiety, separation anxiety, polite greetings for houseguests, resource guarding, counter surfing, inappropriate barking, destructive chewing, house breaking, mouthing, invisible fence and more.
I also have access to horses, donkeys and chickens if those are things you and your dog need help with.
